First I still see to many teams presenting very explainable pictures as evidence. Now if they charge a client, tell them they captured something and another team see's the evidence and knows what it is they will tell the client, won't there be court cases or asking for money back? I think if teams charge for investigations the back stabbing will get even worse. I also think the competition for cases will get worse then it is now. How can we charge for something when it can't be proved it exists. We can say we caught evp's well a great deal of them are explainable. We can say we got direct responses to our kII's when it maybe an airport nearby causing the intermittent readings. So until paranormal is proven and can be repeated you can't charge for it.
I think if teams start charging laws will be following setting standards you must follow. Do psychic teams get more when they investigate? After all they find paranormal at most of their investigations. We all know how true this is.

I would bet money you could have 3 teams investigate a place and all come up with different findings.
A team that learned from tv. ____ More likely to capture something not paranormal
A regular scientific team.____ Probably debunk explainable claims.
A team with a psychic. They will feel something or tell the client they feel what they were told by the client.
Just my opinion

Yeah that's pretty much how I feel as well when it comes down to it. And yes, competition would be crazy! But I'm wondering if it will start leaning that way at all if people are starting to feel they are providing a service that should be comped with cash as in the article by Dusty Smith. If anyone wants a copy of that article, I can email them the magazine in PDF format that got sent to me. Just sent me a PM with your email if you want it.
