I was a Investigator with Las Vegas Paranormal,a group that was a member of Taps,and ive relocated here,to the Midland area. Seeing not much for groups in this area,Ive decided to start my own.I am the founder of Hauntings and I am looking for investigators,for the Bay City,Midland, Mt.Pleasant and Clare areas.Please email me and let me know, what your experience is,if any, and what equipment you may have to bring to the group,such as camcorders,digital cameras, Voice recorders, EMF meters,Thermometers and such. Please include your name and phone number,so that i may reach you. I am in need of a webmaster and a photographer. Starting a new group may be slow to get calls,but we will still be investigating on a regular basis as a group, I already have some investigations planned.......it will be good training for new investigators,and give everyone a chance to learn their strengths and weaknesses in this field, and to learn to work as a team.
This group is following the principles of the T.A.P.S. orginazation,as far as attempting to debunk, before we draw conclusions,and to try to back up evidence, in various ways.
This group will be doing research also,i plan on doing studies to try to find new ways to detect the paranormal.

Hi Lorena, I was wondering exactly where you are located? I'm only asking because there are investigative teams in all of the areas you mentioned. Some very good......just wondering?

I found a few in these areas and im sure there are some good teams around here,but only one was looking for investigators,and they never responded to my email. I hope to meet some of these teams eventually and maybe get to work with them....Maybe team up for large investigations.
My group is off to a good start and im still looking for more members,i have a group of 6 now,but it always takes a while to find enough people that truly have the passion and dedication,to stick with it and to make time for it. My former group had 14 members,and 7-8 of us were the real dedicated ones,so it will take time,but im patient.
Its very hard to stop doing investigations when your used to going to one consistantly,lol...so i had to do what i had to do to get back into it. I didnt start a group to step on anyones toes,i truly am one that wants to be involved,with the other groups in my area. I really hope to meet some of you at a conference soon!

I know what you're talking about when it comes to groups and dedication. Some of the people we've worked with in the past had zero dedication and it was frustrating when you were setting up investigations, talking to people and all that, then tell people "Ok, we got an investigation in such in such place..."

::unmotivated member:: "I don't drive to the lakeshore..." This person lived 30 minutes from the lakeshore.

::second unmotivated member:: "Let's get pizza."

And it went something like that. LOL. So good luck finding some good people. There out there.

If you weren't so far away, I would be interested. If you ever need an extra hand or set of ears in western Mich. let me know. I am not opposed to driving an hour or so for an investigation.
