Michigan's Otherside Paranormal Forums

I was actually curious as to how many paranormal teams in Michigan so I started a list. I am far from finished, only at 56 so far. I am only counting teams with a web page, no twitter, facebook or Myspace teams. The part that is startling about this list is I am already at 22 teams in Metro Detroit Oakland county area. Now of the 56 there are 9 that do not have a location listed so some of them may also be in the 22. Now I know someone on here said they counted 110 and that was a while back, the numbers continue to grow daily. So statistically if this pattern continues there should end well over 50 teams in the Metro, Oakland area. I will add to this once I finish my list.

I can't wait to see your final list. This blows my mind...I can only imagine the groups that only have a myspace, too! That'd probably at least double the numbers.

Ok this list is far from complete but its all that come up in search engines for michigan paranormal and michigan ghost hunters. If your team was left off or a mistake is seen let me know. I did not include any myspace teams or twitter teams. I know I have seen other teams while doing other searches but put enough hours into this already. I probably only got 60% to 70% of the teams. I did see something funny on a michigansotherside site from back a couple years ago where there were close to 20 teams. The number of new teams popping up still is ridiculous so expect more in the future. I did my best to eliminate teams with more then one website. I must also warn you on at least 3 teams I got malicious web page and my virus protection blocked two others. They aren't listed here because of that.

Wow....I just don't know what to think about all this still. I know most of it like we've all discussed on here before is an extreme interest in this stuff because of the media all over the place, so many will come and go, but there's still this idea that others have tried to explore over the years and that's trying to create some type of blanket organization to help organize all this. Something that divides the teams that are dedicated vs. the teams who are just a few friends going out once in a while and blogging about it.

I think it was Chris from Grimstone who has been keeping a list of teams when they pop up and he probably mentioned the 110 teams. And yeah, when I wrote that old intro on the MOS site with "at over 20 some odd teams..." that was only a couple years ago! I should update the thing! "At over 100 plus teams...."
