I just posted this on our forum and happened to notice a few other Do it Yourself posts here so I thought I'd share.

1.) Seems very easy to do :

I was talking to a guy this past summer who turned his camera into an IR one. It was pretty cool, plus it takes amazing pictures in the day time and some believe that ghosts might appear more often on the IR spectrum. I think if you have the tech know-how, an IR camera is one extra tool in the ghost hunters chest.
