Has anyone here ever had Reiki done? I had it done once and I got to thinking about it just now. It was very strange. I laid on the table for almost 45 minutes while the lady did her thing and it was so strange afterwards. Every thing seemed very clear for a few days. Even my vision seemed clearer! It was so crazy! Thoughts didn't seem to buzz in and out of my head. Everything was just calm, until life settled back in again! But while we were in the session, she could pick up on little things such as my back that had been really bothering me and my one knee that I have problems with and all without laying a single hand on me!
I have a friend also who does message therapy (which might I add, it's wonderful having a friend who can message you whenever you have an ache:) But after she works the kinds out of your muscle, she does some energy work as well. Basically an "out with the negative, in with the positive" type of thing. And I'll be damned if you can't feel that energy coming from her hands!
I'm sure Tom will chime in on this post as well seeing he's done some energy work on me as well along with many others! _________________ Amberrose

I know a little on Massage, a girl I was serious with before my wife had T.M.J. problems, so I had her therapist teach me some things so I could help her. My wife loves it because she gets free massages when ever she wants lol.
With Massage I was told what it is doing is releasing the poisons and toxin that have been stored in your mussels from your day to day consumption of whatever. Normally these are in the form of some type of sugar's. When the person massaging you rubs, the heat from the friction releases the toxin's from your body and into your blood stream which them takes it out of your body. This is why some times after a good massage you may feel a little sick at first. _________________ "There are things that go bump in the night, we are the one's who bump back"

You always want to drink a lot of water with massage, especially when you first start just like lostzac said.
A Russian way is a hot steam bath and then jump into COLD water......wow.....I dont care what is wrong with you (unless it is heart problems), THAT makes you feel like a million dollars.
You can do the same thing with a bucket of ice water over the head while standing on bare ground (even with snow.) You must be barefoot, but it works wonders. There is a specific breath pattern that goes with this as well as one for without the water.
When I still fought competitively massage and steam baths were better than money and as good or better than sleep. (to an extent of course).
I am not a Dr. and would check with yours before doing anything, yadayada....... _________________ Sometimes the best medication for a frightened partner is a good slap....y'all keep your pimp hand strong!

Holy crap Irish! I don't think I could every bring myself to dunk myself into ice cold water. I hate going outside when it's cold in general but it would definitly create a feeling that woudl let you know you were alive.
What type of fighting did you use to do? _________________ Amberrose

cage and underground....mostly Canada and smaller promotions but I was on cable a few times. I did have a few boxing bouts but I never enjoyed it as much.
I retired undefeated once I didnt HAVE to have the money to live and renounced it as I lost the Blessing from my priest when I no longer NEEDED the money. _________________ Sometimes the best medication for a frightened partner is a good slap....y'all keep your pimp hand strong!

Really? Your priest said it was bad once it wasn't an issue for money? _________________ Amberrose

I am soooo interested in Reiki. I'm looking into taking classes. I've met several people online that are "Reiki Master teachers" who teach it and certify people in it. I have a lot of energy in my hands and think I'd be great at healing. I mean, you can literally feel heat coming from the centers of my palms. Reiki, as far as I understand, is the process of exchanging energy. It's also used to clear chakras. I've just started learning about chakras, too. This is another subject I'm looking into this year.
I'll let you know if I get a chance to persue this

A good massage is worth soooo much . My mother was a massuese and taught me how to do massage and believe me my friends do like it when I'm around. Now if I could just get my arms to stretch around my back a little further I'd be set, lol.
But any time I'm around I'd be glad to rub some necks and shoulders!!

I needed money to eat and get flush from some family medical expenses....they took this into account but once I was flush, technically it is pitting two men against each other....so they didn't say it was "evil" just that I shouldn't do it anymore....besides I was becoming somebody that I myself really did not like.
A lot of people probably still dont like me...lol but I can look in the mirror with a clean conscience and to me that is worth a lot.
I am not condemning anyone who fights or likes to watch.....it just is not my personal calling, even if I am fairly decent at it.
I would rather help somebody than break his face, but I am capable of either so I watch myself. _________________ Sometimes the best medication for a frightened partner is a good slap....y'all keep your pimp hand strong!

hi !!!
i always thought boxing was nothing but a glorifiied streetfight ( even tho i would love to do it to my hubby's ex-wife) anywhooo, my mother in-law did reiki and the lady found a cold spot on her chest. it turned out later to be breast cancer. she is fine now. my sister did a seaweed wrap while in vegas. they told her to drink alot of water because of toxins that were being released. she didn't drink enough, so later when she had just 1 cocktail, she was absolutely loaded !!!
this release of energy reminds me of an episode on taps. jason was being read by a psychic. grant used a heat camera, and you can see jason's energy coming from him going toward's the psychic. it was wierd !!! _________________ mortie

| It was facinating watching Jason blocking the old guy. You could see waves of color coming off him as the man got closer to a subject he (jason) didn't want discussed.
