As you have all figured out by now, I am 3 things.
1) Looking for new ways to expand upon the test we do, to weed out more data, to come up with a more conclusive process.
2) Big into the Science of Investigation, and Capturing the Data
3) Poor - by all these do it yourself post Razz

This post we are going to cover electrostatics

Static electricity is the same kind you experience when you drag your socks across the carpet in winter and touch a door knob to receive a shock. People who see ghosts report their hair standing on end, cold chills and cold spots, objects moving, and 3-D light forms. These are all things that can be duplicated using electrostatic charges. Plus, most ghost encounters take place in cold, dry months (September-February in North America), when static electrical conditions are optimal.

ElectroScope
http://www.mos.org/sln/toe/simpleelectroscope.html - link to how to make a simple one.

An electroscope is an instrument for detecting the presence of static electricity. It consists of two thin metal leaves suspended from a metal hook. When the hook is brought near a source of static electricity, some of the electrons in the hook are pushed to the leaves (if the source is negative) or pulled up to the hook from the leaves (if the source is positive). Either way, the leaves are now charged the same way as each other and so they repel each other. The amount they open up is proportional to the charge of the source (if the sources are always held at the same distance from the hook).

I"m so behind on my posts. This looks pretty easy to make! Plus, that's a really interesting statistic that people see ghosts or feel things during Sept-Feb.

It was easy, we made two. The problem with the design and using it on a practical investigation is the fact the tin foil will move with the walking. So it is another tool that would have to be left stationary. I have however found how to build these, ion detectors and that for anyone who has knowledge of electronics.

I must have been gone for awhile because there are so many new posts!

Wow. Stuff like this is pretty simple if you think about it. I just am never the one to think it up.
