I agree, my mother who is part of my team and does a lot of research for us, is also one of the top genealogist in the area. One thing she is big on and will pipe up if she sees is someone defacing a gravestone, or grave. I don't know if anyone been keeping tabs on The Ada Witch research I have been doing, but I list a point about maybe the reason Sarah M.'s grave has so more reported (and i use the word reported lightly as I have yet to record anything from there) is that people keep tapering with where she lays.
I know if I was resting and some idiots kept messing around my spot, If it was in my power, there would defiantly be some activity, can anyone say one paranormal butt kicking coming up.
On the serious side, if not for the simple face that these were once living people and should have our respect, how about the respect for having lived their lives and moved on. We should be thankful for there accomplishments no matter if it effected us in a powerful way or no way at all that can be seen, it is someones family, and I am sure the people that do this would be the first to cry foul if it was their family.
