I know we all have our own opinion of what happens and where we go after we die.

I am sort of a believer in reincarnation. I would love to think that I had a life before this one, and will have a life after it (I am terrified of not knowing what's going on). However, all I really care right now is that I know when I die, I'm going 6 feet under, and beyond that doesn't concern me.

I do not believe in a heaven or hell, no judgment day, none of that.

Any opinions on the subject? Personal feelings, possible relations to the belief in ghosts and religious standings on afterlife?

Here's a cool picture:

I do believe in Heven and I do agree with Jawitch that we all make our own hell. I think were we go and what happens to us depends on who we are and what we did. I do not think you have to live a perfect Christan life nor even be Christan to get to Heven,

For all those Christans who are on this form and are about to throw the "I am the way, there is but one way to see the father and that is through me...." quote from the bible.

If you have undying love for your fellow man, like Christ did, and you strive to help those, for the unselfish (unselfish being the key word) reason, as just to help, then you do know God. You do not have to be Christan to possess these gifts, you just have to have faith in Love, and all that is good.

I believe in God.

The idea of him is the only thing that made sense in my head.

I think it's amazing that us humans are here at all. It's amazing how we work so beautifully and that woman can grow babies in their bellies and afterwards have the milk to feed them with. It's amazing how our bodies have defense systems against sickness and such. Everything we do and are is a miracle in itself.

Not only that but we have space and earth. Something had to create this. Even if the earth was formed by some big cosmic bang something had to create that big cosmic bang and had to do it so that this miracle of earth came about.

So the only option is there is something out there that is and always was....and that's what God is.

I also think it's worth noticing that the story of Jesus Christ is the most popular still to date and is known by the masses. I believe that Jesus had to have some really amazingly divine things going on with him to accomplish that. Yes, their have been other stories about different religions and different men but the story of Jesus is the most popular and has reached the most people. That in itself had to be the work of God.

Also. The prophecies in the Bible are sometimes so right on it's eerie.

All of this tied together along with my gut feeling is why I personally believe in God.

Although I am not sure where we go when we die. We either wait for God's war to be won and then are re-turned to our re-newed bodies like it says in the Bible. Or we go to heaven or hell.
I cant say anything for sure because obviously I have not died yet.

What happens when we die? Do we continue on? Or is this the end. Scientists in Arizona have proof that their is something there. Scientists using a controlled experiment with mediums tried contacting the otherside, They say that the 5 mediums had an accuracy of close to 80% to 90%. The scientists call their findings survival of consciousness — meaning our physical bodies die, but we continue on.
The research continues with studies that include near-death survivors.
Schwartz says near-death experience research completely dovetails and supports what’s coming from the mediums.
He says he will continue his research, and that the data doesn’t lie.

“When you look at the totality of the data from our laboratory, the simplest explanation is actually that survival of consciousness is real,” said Schwartz.

I think we are on the edge of something soon. Something is going to break and we're going to be able to add another piece into the puzzle.

I had a conversation with my mom the other day about where we go when we die.

yes, I have christian beliefs and still believe them but I said to my mother that I was also aware that I could be wrong. She said she knew 100% that there is a God, no questions asked.

So we went on arguing because I told her that nobody really knows, but what I had wasn't knowledge but faith.

She got pretty defensive and started yelling at me and kept on saying she "knew 100% where we went"

Maybe that's part of the reason why I'm interested in the paranormal. We all want the truth. I still stand by my faith but I do not think it's wrong of me to say that "maybe I could be wrong" ..although the paranormal has made me more confident in my beliefs... but still, I am not "all knowing".

isn't that what faith is about? not knowing but still believing?

Maybe that is why I am more accepting of other people's beliefs. I have faith in my belief but I'm not going to be a butt-hole and get upset when others believe differently.

I sometimes wish other Christians would not get so radical and rude when it came to defending their religion. I don't think it should be about "religion" as much as it should be about a "relationship" with God, so people should not get so upset about the "rules" or petty things like that.

Well said:) I agree with you about having faith because that's really all it boils down to, even within the paranormal itself. We can't see God (some can probably LOL), we don't always see the paranormal, but somehow, maybe because of faith, we know it's there. Sort of like air. We can't see it, but we know we are breathing it in and it's helping to keep us alive. I think faith works the same way. It helps us "stay alive" sort of. It keeps us believing that there's something better or just "something" out there.
I think it's really healthy to be able to say, "I could be wrong..." I do that all the time. I have my beliefs and my current beliefs in the paranormal, but if tomorrow someone is able to prove me wrong, so be it!
Currently in the paranormal, I don't think anyone is right or wrong because it's just not that black and white. I feel some people might be a little too far down the rabbit hole, and others too far away from it, but all in all, no one can say we are wrong entirely.

I agree too that the paranormal helps you have faith a bit. I didn't really believe in much until I started really exploring the paranormal. I haven't witnessed a whole lot, but the few things I have made me open my eyes a bit wider, which has been a great thing.
